Repairs by people who know roofs
Roofs cop all sorts of damage: environmental wear like moss, mould and leaf build-up; drainage problems on low-pitch sections; and physical damage from high winds, hail, television aerial installers and anyone who has walked a roof without knowing where to put their feet. Add Canterbury's freeze-thaw winters and nor'west gales, and even good roofs need attention now and then.
Quality Roofing has vast experience repairing damage and leaks on every type of roof. From long-run steel to pressed-metal tile, concrete tile, shingle and membrane, we have dealt with them all. More importantly, we diagnose before we quote: a repair that doesn't address the actual cause is just a deposit on the next leak.
Common repairs we carry out
- Leak detection and permanent leak repairs
- Flashing repairs and replacement: chimneys, walls, penetrations, solar tubes
- Chimney repairs, re-flashing and removal of failing brick chimneys
- Internal gutter repairs and full conversion to external gutters
- Storm damage: lifted ridging, loose sheets, torn spouting (insurance documentation provided)
- Rust treatment and replacement of corroded sheets and valley irons
- Spouting, gutter and downpipe repairs and replacement
- Preventive maintenance checks before winter
Internal gutter problems, solved for good
Internal fascia gutters (common on 1960s-90s Canterbury homes) are prone to blocking, rusting and leaking as they age, and when they overflow the water goes straight into your soffit, walls and ceilings. We can remedy this permanently with a full conversion to external guttering, including the New Zealand-developed RIGS system, for which we are the authorised installer across the South Island.
Urgent or emergency repairs are addressed as staff availability allows, but we will always try our best. If water is coming in now, call 027 209 8145.
